1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password (securely stored via AWS Cognito)
• Alarm & Loop Data: Your alarm times and loop preferences (stored locally on your device)
• Subscription Information: If you subscribe to Loop Premium, we store your subscription status, Apple transaction IDs, receipt data, and expiration dates

We do not collect sleep tracking data, location data, or health/fitness data. Most of your data (alarms and loops) remains stored locally on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Loop app and its features
• Authenticate your account using AWS Cognito
• Process and manage your Loop Premium subscription through Apple In-App Purchases
• Send alarm notifications at your scheduled times
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve app functionality and user experience through anonymized analytics

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Information Sharing and Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Loop:

• AWS Cognito: User authentication and identity management
• AWS DynamoDB: Secure storage of user profiles and subscription data
• AWS Lambda & API Gateway: Backend infrastructure
• Apple Sign-In: Optional authentication method
• Apple In-App Purchases: Subscription payment processing
• PostHog: Privacy-focused product analytics (EU-hosted, no cross-app tracking)
• Sentry: Crash reporting and error monitoring

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We only share data with service providers necessary to operate the app, and they are contractually obligated to protect your data.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored in two locations:

• Local Device Storage: Your alarms, loop preferences, and app settings are stored locally on your device using secure storage. This data never leaves your device unless you create an account.
• Cloud Storage (AWS): If you create an account, your name, email, and subscription information are securely stored on AWS servers in encrypted databases.

We use industry-standard AWS security measures including encryption at rest and in transit.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. We use AWS infrastructure with enterprise-grade security, encryption, and access controls. However, no security system is completely impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data (including name, email, subscription information) is permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered. Local data on your device remains until you uninstall the app or clear app data.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: View your account information in Profile > Account Settings
• Update: Change your email address or password at any time
• Delete: Permanently delete your account and all associated data through Profile > Account Management > Delete Account
• Restore Purchases: Restore your subscription on a new device
• Notification Control: Enable or disable notifications in your device settings

8. Notifications and Permissions

Loop requires notification permissions to function properly. Notifications are used for alarm alerts so your alarms can wake you up on time.

You can manage notification settings in your device's system settings. Note that disabling notifications will prevent alarms from functioning.

9. Children's Privacy

Loop is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information about your child, please contact us at support@loopproductivity.com and we will delete it immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States through AWS infrastructure. By using Loop, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we operate.

11. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new privacy policy within the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Loop after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
